MAHLE Service Solutions Introduces SmartACX Smartphone Application

The SmartACX Smartphone App allows a technician to remotely view the values and status of the Kia ArcticPRO® ACX1299 A/C machine while it is in use for vehicle service. The benefit of the technician being untethered from the A/C machine allows them to be productive on another repair while the A/C machine is operating.

Once a technician pairs the mobile phone app with one of the machines using a QR code, they can walk away and perform other tasks without the necessity to see the machine light or listen for the buzzer. The SmartACX Smartphone App automatically displays the pertinent values and an alert notification on the technician’s smartphone.

The MAHLE Service Solution SmartACX Smartphone App works over Wi-Fi or cellular data and can be downloaded for free at the Apple Store (IOS) or through Google Play (Android). MAHLE Service Solutions will be making the app available on additional platforms in the coming months.

MAHLE Service Solutions introduced the ArcticPRO® ACX1299 A/C machine exclusively for Kia dealers in January 2016. It is a digital air conditioning (A/C) machine designed to safely service vehicles using the new R1234yf refrigerant. It is the first A/C service equipment to be fully integrated with MAHLE Service Solutions’ TechPRO® diagnostic scan tool software making it the only A/C service machine on the market that can also perform diagnostic testing. The ACX1299 received the “Best Use of Technology” new product award at the 2016 Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide Trade Show in Orlando, Florida.
